If you can’t find blood oranges, feel free to use any combination of citrus fruits.

It can also be made in advance – just store the poached pears in some of their poaching liquid. They’ll continue to marinate and will be extra flavorful as a result! Organic Bosc pears are featured in our weekly sale from December 5th – 11th, making this recipe particularly budget-friendly. It’s sure to be a crowd-pleaser!

This traditional Mexican treat with a name meaning “happiness” is the perfect new addition to your holiday lineup and you’ll find the pistachios featured in our weekly sale from November 29th – December 4th. Easy Turkey Gravy

A Thanksgiving feast just doesn’t feel complete without a generous serving of gravy! This year, skip the canned stuff and avoid those powdery packets – making your own gravy is really quite simple and oh-so-delicious! It allows you to make good use of the drippings in the bottom of your turkey roasting pan and gives you something to do while your turkey rests so that you aren’t tempted to carve that bird too quickly!

Turkey Brine

If you volunteered to cook the turkey this year and you’re feeling nervous about serving a dry bird, we have a bit of advice for you: brine it! Turkey is naturally a very lean bird and without the extra fat, it’s easy for the meat to become dry and tough. Giving a turkey a 24-hour soak in a brining solution is a fool-proof way to prevent dryness and to boost flavor.

Fresh, ready-to-roll dough from local Kiss Tart Pastry will help reduce your prep time and you’ll find it in the weekly sale from November 14th – 20th. If pumpkin isn’t your thing, feel free to sub in roasted butternut squash or roasted sweet potatoes. Either way, we have a feeling this will become your new go-to pie for the holidays!
