Strawberry Shortcake

Summer is inching closer and it’s got us dreaming of simple summer desserts like this classic Strawberry Shortcake. Our house-made shortcakes will be featured in the weekly sale from May 30th – June 5th, along with strawberries and heavy cream, so it’s a great time to whip up a batch of this super easy dessert and dream of summer!
Instructions
In a bowl, combine the strawberries and 2 tablespoons of the maple syrup. Let sit for an hour or more. Meanwhile, whip the heavy cream with the remaining tablespoon of maple syrup and the vanilla until soft peaks form. Chill. Cut shortcakes in half and spoon a generous portion of the strawberries onto each shortcake. Top with the whipped cream and enjoy!
