Our weekly sale from May 31st -June 6th celebrates the simple summer dessert known as strawberry shortcake. Our house-made shortcakes will be featured in the sale and this recipe will help you pull together the few remaining ingredients needed to whip up this classic treat.
In a bowl, combine the strawberries and 2 tablespoons of the maple syrup. Let sit for an hour or more. Meanwhile, whip the heavy cream with the remaining tablespoon of maple syrup and the vanilla until soft peaks form. Chill. Cut shortcakes in half and spoon a generous portion of the strawberries onto each shortcake. Top with the whipped cream and enjoy!
