Awesome! Thanks for stopping by and leaving this feedback, glad to hear you enjoy them :)
My wife and daughter are on a constant quest for healthy, breaded tenders that contain real chicken. I love some of your other meat products, so I've bought these a number of times to see if they pass muster. Sadly, the thick (sometimes gooey) crust is a constant hurdle, unless one
We as a family don't eat out at fast food places, ever. I buy very little prepared foods because of quality. But I seen these in our local store and decided to try. These are the best chicken tenders we have ever eaten. Now I don't have to make from scratch. :) Happy family ='s happy Mon. Can't wait to try some of your other products.
Hi Joanne- Thanks for sharing! We're happy we can provide a tasty time saving alternative that you feel good about giving to your family.
I normally go with the chicken nuggets, but I got these last week, since they were available and looked worth trying. When I opened the package, I found a number of different sized tenders; I know tenders naturally come in different sizes and shapes, but we're talking really different. I popped them in the oven and set a shorter timer than the box said so I could rescue the "bonus nugget" as I was calling the little piece that probably broke off one of the strips. I was surprised that after the six minutes, I needed to turn all the chicken, not just the nugget, but I continued with nugget instructions and cooked another six minutes. They were thoroughly hot and browned and crisp and cooked after those 12 minutes. I think they would have been frazzled had I cooked them the prescribed 18 total minutes. Granted, I picked the smallest of the tenders; the others in the box are more chunky, so they may need longer, but I'll definitely be starting with less time and checking. There should be a range of times listed on the package for cooking instructions. For reference, I cook the nuggets exactly per instructions in the same oven, so I don't think it's just my oven.
I bought these because my daughter has been begging me to buy some "frozen chicken". Last night I was in a pinch for dinner after her dance class so thought I'd give these a try. I was shocked how tasty they were but wish that there were more in the box.
I knew that it would most likely make one meal for the two of us looking at the weight and serving size and it did, just barely. My box came with 6 fairly small tenders, I'd estimate each was between 3/4 to 1in wide and about 3 to 3.5 inches long. I'd LOVE for these to come in a resealable bag with more tenders - do you think that is something that you all would consider?
Again, these are really quite good! I just wish the box would provide more than one meal for two people. I realize that the serving suggestion is 2.5 servings, but honestly, for a hungry 8 year old who has been at dance for 2.5 hours and a hungry mom.....it's only a 2 serving :)
I LOVE the homestyle breaded chicken breast tenders, and I didn't mind paying the extra cost for a delicious, all natural product, until recently. Suddenly there are only 5 tenders and a bunch of crumbs in each package for the same price I was paying for 6-7 full tenders without the extra crumbs. I am now paying for clumps of breadcrumbs and more than $1 per chicken tender. That is outrageous, and it has happened in 3 out of the last 4 packages I've purchased. I will be in search of a comparable product to switch to. This is very disappointing.
Hi Sherri, thanks for providing your feedback. I am really sorry to hear about your experience. Please email us at help@applegate.com so that we can make this right for you. Thank you - Michael
Pricey in my area at around $6.00, but surprisingly good for a frozen product. I heated them in a convection toaster oven at 425 for almost 20 minutes and they were crisp and tender. Enough for 1 adult and one toddler with a couple leftover.
These will be my go to "To tired to make Dinner" meal. My husband raved about how good they were and I couldn't get enough of them. They are delicious!
